Art tools

I've tried a lot of different tools for creating art. Here are a few that I like a lot and use often.

If you order through these links, I may get a small commission that helps support my art.

All around drawing pen

I use these for backgrounds, panel borders, and lettering. They don't bleed, so I can use them on unfamiliar paper or in sketch diaries. I always have a couple of these with me.

Super markers

When I want really flat, controlled color on a physical page, I reach for these markers. They're interesting for urban sketching and great for illustration.

Home for finished work

I keep my completed pages in these. They're great for long-term storage, and it's easy to find a specific page to make sure I'm drawing a character or scene the same way later on. I have so many of these!

Right size storage for small pages

Small pages need love, too. I draw a ton of journal comics, comic poems, and other small pieces. This is how I keep them safe.

Protection on the go

I use this protective folder to hold in-progress 9" x 12" pages when I travel. It's stylish and I don't have to worry about my work getting damaged.

Luxurious pencil

I have so many different kinds of pencils at home. The Tombow Zoom 505 feels so nice in the hand. And it has a cap, so when I throw it in a bag or my pocket, it won't poke holes in things.
